Which Reese’s Products are Gluten-Free (2024)? Find Out Here

Reese’s has approximately 100 products available.

They range from candy, cereal, sauces, cookies, and spreads. With a wide range of items, I wanted to know which Reese’s products are gluten-free?

I spent hours reading labels and ingredients to find out.

Popular Reese’s Items: Are They Gluten-Free?

Reese’s is manufactured by The Hershey Company. If you visit their website they have an extensive list of their gluten-free products. However, this list is not completely exhausted and some of their gluten-free items may be missing.

If you’re checking for a specific product it’s best to look at the individual label. You can search for the product on The Hershey Company website.

A picture of the candy will be displayed along with the nutrition facts. The words gluten-free will be clearly indicated on the back of the packaging. Another helpful tool is to look at the tags. If the item is gluten-free it will be stated in the tags sections under product details.

“The best way to determine if our products contain a gluten ingredient is to read our product label. This label includes an accurate, current listing of the ingredients in our products. Because, on occasion, the list of ingredients can change, we strongly encourage you to check the ingredient label on the package each time before you make a purchase.”

Are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Gluten-Free?

The original Reese’s peanut butter cups are gluten-free. The gluten-free label is clearly displayed on the back of the packaging.

Are Reese’s Eggs Gluten-Free?

I was curious, are Reese’s Eggs gluten-free? The answer is no.  None of the seasonal shapes are. During production, the eggs are cross-contaminated with gluten due to the machinery and molds the plant uses.

Are Reese’s Hearts Gluten-Free?

Like the egg, the hearts are classified as a seasonal shape and are not gluten-free. The candy itself is not made with gluten but cross-contamination occurs during the production.

Are Reese’s Thins Gluten-Free?

To my surprise, Reese’s thins are not gluten-free. Although they are not seasonal shapes, these thin versions of the candy contain gluten. I did not find a clear answer as to how, as the ingredients are gluten-free.  My assumption is that it’s due to cross-contamination. Whatever the case may be, the thins do not have the gluten-free label or gluten-free tag.

Though this was unexpected, it didn’t come as a disappointment to me. Who needs less of the peanut butter to chocolate ratio when you can have the original, am I right?

Are Reese’s Colliders Gluten-Free?

Technically speaking, this is the peanut butter cup in pudding form. It sounds gluten-free but unfortunately, Reese’s Colliders are not. They do not contain the gluten-free label on the packaging or the gluten-free tag on their website.

Are Reese’s Pieces Gluten-Free?

After the consistent no’s I have good news. Reese’s Pieces are gluten-free. You can keep enjoying this bite-size peanut butter snack. Look at the backside of the box for the gluten-free label.

What Other Resse’s Products Are Gluten-Free?

It is rumored that if the product doesn’t contain the paper brown wrapper (the original peanut butter cup is known for) then you can assume it contains gluten. This is incorrect as I have found unwrapped cups that are marked gluten-free.

Since there are Reese’s items that include gluten, you don’t want to bet all your luck on a wrapper. Don’t chance it, just check the label.

The list of gluten-free Reese’s products goes far beyond the original peanut butter cups. Learn if these are gluten-free or not:

Are Reese’s Big Cup Peanut Butter Cups Gluten-Free?

Like the original peanut butter cup, this larger version is labeled gluten-free.

Are Reese’s Big Cup with Potato Chips Gluten-Free?

If the peanut butter and chocolate mix isn’t heavenly enough, they went and added potato chips to the mix. If this sounds questionable to you, give it a try. It is gluten-free.

Are Reese’s Fast Break Gluten-Free?

Peanut butter cup meets candy bar. The peanut butter, chocolate, and nougat mix is indeed gluten-free.

Are Reese’s Big Cup with Pretzels Gluten-Free?

I have to say how shocked I was to see the gluten-free label on the package. But gluten-free pretzels in my peanut butter cup? I’ll take it.

The pretzels are made with brown rice flour and potato starch.

Is Reese’s Puffs Cereal Gluten-Free?

After discovering the big cups with pretzels are gluten-free, I was hopeful that this product would be too. However, this is not the case. The ingredients in Reese’s puffs are gluten-free but cross-contamination happens during manufacturing.

The list doesn’t end here. There are still several more gluten-free Reese’s items. To find more check out Hershey’s website.

Conclusion

After diving deep into research I discovered that Reese’s peanut butter cups are gluten-free. However, seasonal shapes (like Reese’s egg and heart) are not gluten-free. With my in-depth investigation and magical taste buds, I was able to compile a list of some of my favorite gluten-free Reese’s products.
